So what are Mind-Body Practices?
Mind-Body practices are therapeutic techniques that focus on connecting the mind and body to release stress. Rather than just focussing on the mind (thinking and talking), these practices tap into the body’s natural ability to process emotions and release tension, helping to ground and centre you in the present moment. Adopting a holistic approach acknowledges that our physical, mental and emotional states are deeply intertwined. It emphasises that overall health is not solely determined by isolated physical symptoms but by the combined wellbeing of body and mind.
These practices are especially powerful for those who feel disconnected or overwhelmed, as they help rebuild a safe and compassionate connection with your body. The mind-body approaches we use include somatic and compassion focussed practice and emotional freedom techniques, all of which are evidence-based, gentle and effective.
